Born in 1990 to a British mother and a Maltese father, Alice was raised for most of her life in Surrey's Woking. Her passion for comedy during her youth led her to attend acting classes at Italia Conti and the Guildford School of Acting, and authoring the school plays as she got older.
Alice's dream was to write comedy and be a performer, but another ambition was realised when she began volunteering at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in 2011, while going to University. From then on, Alice was captivated by animal care and strived to take that path instead.
Alice began her career in Zookeeping in 2014 at ZSL London Zoo where she was involved with 3 different animal departments. In 2015, she departed from the Zoo life to run a Children's Farm in North London but after a few years, chose to go back to exotic animals, moving to Costa Rica for 7 months to study Toucans and assist in Sloth research.
When she returned to England, she returned to Zookeeping, and became a Carnivore Keeper at Shepreth Wildlife Park, where she remained for nearly 5 years.
During this time, she founded the Keeper Educational Exchange Programme (or KEEP), a non-profit organisation that allows Zookeepers from across the UK and beyond to gain knowledge from each other through spending time at other collections. She has presented on the programme at the ABWAK Symposium and the BIAZA Annual Conference and the organisation is proud to be BIAZA Endorsed and supported by Birdworld, in Surrey.
In 2023, seeking a creative outlet, Alice created the animal-comedy podcast: "Asshole Animals with Alice", that examines animal behaviour in a comedic fashion, with the help of experts across the world. In the first few months of her podcast, she was accompanied by nature creatives such as Chris Packham, Megan McCubbin, Lucy Lapwing, Jungle Jordan, Bertie Gregory and aims to continue interviewing hilarious experts about animals with a bad reputation.
Alice was also nominated for BIAZA's "Woman of the Year" award in 2023.
